April 1, 2007 - Welcome to the website for the construction,
commissioning and subsequent travels of our new Nordhavn 55, "ALWAYS
FRIDAY"!
The boat arrived in Dana Point in late April and Nordhavn has exceeded
our expectations! Dave Harlow, the NH project manager, inspected the
boat and found it to be "exactly as ordered"! Jim Hart of Definitive
Concepts, who is doing the audiovisual installation on the boat, was
onboard and described it as "awesome"! Jim is an electrical engineer
and a perfectionist. If he says it is awesome, it is just that! Jeff
Merril, our NH sales representative, took his initial tour of the boat
to record his usual punch list of needed corrective measures, and left
with an empty list ! A first for him, and a real credit to the factory!
The commissioning process is underway in earnest, and we spend time
onboard each day. New pictures will be added as progress is noted. We
plan frequent additions and updates to this site as we progress
northward to Alaska, and ultimately home through the Panama Canal in the
Fall of this year.
